Jose 'Shorty' Torres returns to flyweight at BRAVE CF 95 in Spain

Former BRAVE CF bantamweight champion Jose “Shorty” Torres will return to the flyweight division at BRAVE CF 95, the promotion announced Monday. The event is set for May 30, 2025, at the Pabellón Santiago Martín in Tenerife, Spain.

Torres (13-3-1), a two-time IMMAF world champion, will face Dias Yerengaipov of Kazakhstan in the co-main event of the evening. The American fighter aims to restart his title campaign in a division he believes he belongs in.

A veteran of the UFC, RIZIN, and Titan FC, Torres most recently secured a decision victory over Makoto Takahashi at RIZIN 49. That win reaffirmed his position as one of the sport’s most versatile flyweights. The upcoming bout marks his return to BRAVE Combat Federation, where he previously held gold at 135 pounds.

Yerengaipov enters the contest as a technically sound and durable challenger, known for his disciplined striking and strong cage control. The matchup pits Torres’ experience and all-around skillset against Yerengaipov’s composed, strategic fighting style.

BRAVE CF 95 marks the organization’s continued partnership with Fight2One and reinforces its commitment to global expansion in what it has dubbed the “Year of the BRAVE.”

The event will feature top talent from Spain and beyond, with Torres’ return serving as a potential launching pad for the promotion’s first-ever flyweight world title bout.
