Jordan Estupinan Set To Battle Ali Saldoev At ONE Fight Night 31

ONE Championship has added a flyweight Muay Thai contest to its upcoming U.S. primetime event ONE Fight Night 31. Undefeated Colombian striker Jordan Estupinan will face Russian power-puncher Ali Saldoev on Saturday, May 3.

Bangkok's iconic Lumpinee Stadium will play host, where both fighters will look to make their mark in the competitive flyweight Muay Thai division. It is a fitting venue for what could be a show-stealing Muay Thai affair.

Estupinan, 22, is the twin brother of fifth-ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender Johan Estupinan. He debuted in ONE earlier this year with a perfect professional record that he kept intact against Freddie Haggerty at ONE 170.

The thrilling victory established himself as an instant force to watch.

Saldoev, a member of Fight Club Archangel Michael, made a stunning promotional debut himself last March at ONE 166.

He knocked out Moroccan fighter Zakaria El Jamari but soon found that challenges on the global stage ramp up rather quickly. In his follow-up appearance, Saldoev was ousted by Black Panther at ONE Fight Night 23. Intent on proving it was a fluke, the Russian plans to be the first man in Estupinan's loss column.

This matchup features two rising stars with contrasting backgrounds but similar ambitions. The unblemished Estupinan battles the motivated Saldoev with the entire flyweight division watching to see who will emerge.
