ONE Samurai 4: Haggerty, Nadaka Yoshinari Walk Out With ONE World Titles

Saturday, 17 October, belonged to the champions. ONE SAMURAI 4 served a World Title double-header at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, where Jonathan Haggerty and Nadaka Yoshinari both finished their fights and earned US$100,000 bonuses.

Jonathan Haggerty's main event against Hiroki Akimoto wasn't without danger, since Akimoto kept landing heavy power shots, but Haggerty's boxing, footwork, and hand speed controlled the first two rounds of the bantamweight kickboxing bout.

Round three ended it. A crushing left knee dropped Akimoto, Haggerty swarmed, and the towel came in from Akimoto's corner at 0:42 as the reigning champion retained his ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title.

Nadaka Yoshinari kept things calm in the atomweight Muay Thai co-main event. Rifdean Masdor showed real knockout power early, but Nadaka figured out his rhythm and dropped him with a quick left hook in round one.

Masdor kept pressing forward in round two, and Nadaka made him pay. A perfectly timed left head kick at 0:58 ended it, defending his ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title and earning a US$100,000 performance bonus.
