Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi is stepping into a new chapter, and he could not be more fired up about it. The Thai knockout machine makes his ONE kickboxing debut against China's Yuan Pengjie in a flyweight clash at The Inner Circle on Friday, June 5, broadcasting live on live.onefc.com.
The 24-year-old carries 60 career striking wins and eight ONE victories built entirely in Muay Thai into his promotional kickboxing debut. A power puncher with a repertoire of spinning and flying attacks, Jaosuayai has proven his finishing ability against some of the most well-known strikers in the division.
He claimed his US$100,000 main roster contract in 2025 after making his ONE Friday Fights debut in 2023, announcing himself as one of the most exciting fighters in the promotion.
However, three consecutive losses have cast a shadow over that momentum, and Jaosuayai arrives at his next fight with a point to prove. The switch in rule set is no accident. It is a deliberate reset, and one the Thai star has been craving for a long time.
"I am incredibly excited and hyped. This marks my return to kickboxing after five years away. Honestly, I've been wanting to fight under this rule set in ONE for a very long time," he said.
The soul-searching that followed his recent skid has produced a fighter with a sharper, more measured approach to competition. Jaosuayai is not just changing disciplines. He is changing the way he fights.
"In this fight, you're going to see a much more composed and patient version of me. I'm going to use my fight IQ rather than letting emotion dictate the pace like I did in my recent losses," he explained.
Standing across from him will be Yuan Pengjie, a 23-year-old Chinese striker carrying a 39-4 striking record and a 1-0 ONE record into the contest. Yuan represents a dangerous opponent for anyone stepping into the flyweight kickboxing division, let alone a fighter making his debut in the rule set.
But for Jaosuayai, the caliber of the challenge only adds fuel to an already burning desire to turn his fortunes around.
"In my entire career, I have never lost four fights in a row, and I will be damned if I let that happen now. Winning is the only option. I need to restore the fans' faith in me and prove that I still belong on the global stage," he added.
