Rising Muay Thai star Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi is prepared to announce his arrival on the biggest stage when he faces top-ranked contender Nakrob Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 32 on 7 June.
The highly anticipated clash at Bangkok's iconic Lumpinee Stadium will mark the 23-year-old striker's first appearance on U.S. primetime television.
Despite entering as an underdog against the #5-ranked flyweight in Nakrob, Jaosuayai remains supremely confident in his abilities. The dynamic fighter brings impressive momentum into the bout, riding a four-fight win streak highlighted by three devastating knockouts that have established him among the sport's most dangerous finishers.
"I don't think about what people say about me being an underdog in this fight," Jaosuayai said. "I believe in myself and that I have what it takes to fight him. If I can beat him, I'll elevate myself to the next level and maybe even get into the rankings."
Nakrob presents a formidable challenge with his 10-2 promotional record, clean technique, and ruthless aggression that has positioned him as a legitimate World Title threat. However, Jaosuayai has done his homework and believes he's identified key weaknesses to exploit.
"Nakrob's strength is his high stamina and good attacking ability, but his weakness is that he tends to come straight in, which is predictable, and he neglects his defence," the young striker said.
Known for his explosive arsenal featuring spinning attacks and flying knees, Jaosuayai plans to showcase his distinctive Muay Thai style while employing a calculated counter-striking approach.
Rather than engaging in a wild brawl, he intends to use patience and precision to set up the fight-ending moment he's targeting.
"I've set a goal to win by knockout in my U.S. primetime debut because I want to start my journey with the most impressive performance," Jaosuayai said.
ONE Fight Night 32 will be broadcast live on JioHotstar and Star Sports Select 2 at 6:30 a.m. India Standard Time (IST) on Saturday, 7 June.
