Rising Indian MMA talent Arbaaz Ahmed continued his impressive amateur run with a 48-second submission victory over Sayed Anwari at Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat Prospect Series. The bout marked Arbaaz’s third consecutive first-round finish in 2025.

Facing Anwari, an Afghan-born fighter training out of Team Alpha Male in California, Arbaaz wasted no time. He quickly closed the distance and secured the tap within the opening minute, showcasing his grappling dominance.

Arbaaz, a former Indian national amateur MMA champion, now trains at the renowned American Kickboxing Academy (AKA). His previous wins in 2025 include:

  • TKO win over Leo Ramos at 209 Beatdown on April 26 (1:28, R1)
  • Submission win over Eduardo Cesareo at Central Coast Championships on January 18 (1:26, R1)

These wins came on the back of a loss in 2024, when he was stopped by Muslim Gabartuev at the Evolution Sports Expo.

With his latest performance, Arbaaz Ahmed continues to represent Indian MMA on the international stage with confidence and finishing power.
