Team India announced for Ju-Jitsu World Championship in Abu Dhabi

The Indian team has been announced for the Ju-Jitsu World Championship in Abu Dhabi which is set to happen from 29 October 2022 to 8 November 2022.

Led by the Ju-Jitsu Association of India, the team will consist of 10 athletes along with coach M.R. Shahed. Mohammed Ilyas will represent the nation in the -69 KG Adults fighting category while Mohammed Haris will be competing in the Ne-Waza and Fighting disciplines in -50 KG category.

Divya Sharma, Moksh, Muhammed Shuhaib, Dany Mappala, Jay Bhagwan, Chottu Ram and Amarjeet Singh are the other athletes that will be representing the country at the event.

Apart from the 10 athletes, there will be three officials and a team coach for the nation at the championship. You can see the team and their respective categories below.

  • Jay Bhagwan (-94 KG Adults Ne Waza and Fighting)
  • Chottu Ram (-85 KG Adults Ne Waza and Fighting)
  • Amarjeet Lohan (-85 KG Adults Ne Waza)
