Indian MMA fighter Ganesh Raj is all set to fight Hamood Zuhair of Bahrain at BRAVE CF 65. The fight will happen in the Amateur Flyweight category and will be on the preliminary card of BRAVE CF 65 which happens on Friday, 28 October 2022 in Bahrain.
Ganesh, who is a former National MMA champion in India, has an extensive amateur MMA record. He trains out of Combat Kinetics MMA in Chennai and has been competing domestically for a few years now.
He had secured a gold medal at the Indian Open which was held in Indore last year and won a silver medal at the 5th MMA India Nationals which happened in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh. Ganesh has also represented India at the IMMAF World Championships. Interestingly, he also trains out of the same team as Vridhi Kumari who secured a Bronze Medal for India at the IMMAF World Championship.
Ganesh will be joining the long list of Indian MMA fighters that have represented the nation on the BRAVE Combat Federation stage.
India has had its presence from BRAVE CF 1 itself. The first-ever fight in promotional history was between two Indian fighters as Sunny Khatri went up against Atif Mohammed. After this, India’s Mohammed Farhad secured the first-ever stoppage win in BRAVE CF history. Indian MMA fighter Abdul Muneer was also on the BRAVE CF 1 fight card as he went up against former UFC fighter Masio Fullen.
Zuhair, on the other hand, is a silver medallist at the IMMAF World Championships 2021. He trains out of the KHK MMA Team which has produced a long list of world champions. Zuhair also has multiple IMMAF medals on his resume. He will be looking to capitalize on the home advantage and get a win over Ganesh at the event which happens on 28 October 2022.
BRAVE CF 65 will be headlined by the Featherweight contest featuring Hamza Kooheji and Eduardo Mora. In the co-main event, Jose Torres will be going up against Al Derbani. The fight card will host the return of fighters like Ahmed Labban, Carl Booth, and Said Maalem among others.
BRAVE CF 65 will be the third instalment of the Kombat Kingdom series from BRAVE CF this year. The promotion had already hosted BRAVE CF 63 and BRAVE CF 64 recently and had three title fights on offer for MMA fans.
