BRAVE Combat Federation will return to Slovenia on Saturday, June 7, with BRAVE CF 96 set to take place at Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana. The event, held in partnership with local promotion WFC, marks the organization's fifth appearance in the country, following two sold-out events in 2024 that helped catapult mixed martial arts into the national spotlight.
The card will be headlined by a Middleweight World Championship clash between reigning Light Heavyweight champion Erko Jun of Bosnia and Herzegovina and former two-division titleholder Mohammad Fakhreddine of Lebanon.
Jun, who remains undefeated in BRAVE CF competition with three consecutive stoppages, captured the Light Heavyweight title at BRAVE CF 88 in Slovenia with a fourth-round TKO over Alexander Wesner. With a 9-2 professional record, Jun now aims to become only the second fighter in BRAVE CF history to simultaneously hold titles in two divisions.
Fakhreddine, 17-5, is the first BRAVE CF athlete to have held two titles at once. He returned to action at BRAVE CF 92, scoring a TKO victory over Abdel Rahmane Driai and immediately called out Jun in a post-fight interview. “I know Erko is looking to become a double-weight champion,” Fakhreddine said. “But Erko, I’m going to have to spoil the plan for you, brother.” Jun accepted the challenge shortly after, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated title fights of the year.
BRAVE CF 96 will feature fighters from 11 different nations and is part of the promotion's "Year of the BRAVE" campaign, designed to highlight international talent and promote global inclusivity in combat sports.
