The landscape of Mixed Martial Arts is adorned with individuals showcasing an impressive array of skills, but for many, these abilities are not innate gifts but the hard-won fruits of their life's challenges. Such is the narrative of Erko Jun, the headliner of BRAVE CF 81.

Born in 1990 amidst the turmoil of war-ravaged Bosnia, Erko's journey began amidst uncertainty. Fleeing the ravages of conflict, he spent his formative years in a German refugee camp before settling in Belgium with his family. Despite the chaos surrounding him, Erko's resilient spirit began to take shape in these early years.

Although fortunate to escape the horrors of war with his parents intact, Erko's childhood and adolescence were marred by strife. Amidst domestic turmoil, he found himself frequently embroiled in street altercations. However, amidst the chaos, Erko discovered solace in martial arts. From Taekwondo to Kickboxing, martial arts became his outlet to channel the pent-up frustrations of life.

Yet, tragedy struck anew when a devastating leg injury left him paralyzed from the knee down, prompting a shift to bodybuilding at the doctor's recommendation. Despite the setback, Erko's determination remained unyielding. Under the guidance of mentor Bill Richardson, Erko underwent a transformative journey, both physically and mentally.

"Everybody has tough moments in their life," reflected Erko, acknowledging the trials that shaped his character. With his mother's support, Erko found stability through a job in the fitness industry, eventually ascending to success as a personal trainer.

Driven by a desire to make his mother proud, Erko's journey led him from bodybuilding to the glamorous world of modeling. Yet, amidst the allure of fame, his heart yearned for a return to his roots—combat sports.

A pivotal moment arrived during a trip to Germany in 2018, where Erko made his MMA debut, igniting a passion that would define his future. Since then, he has amassed an impressive 7-2 record in MMA, emerging as a prominent figure in European MMA.

Now, poised to headline BRAVE CF 81 against Mohammed Said Maalem, Erko stands on the brink of yet another milestone in his journey. A victory over Maalem could propel him towards a world title shot, marking the pinnacle of his MMA career.
