Indian MMA Fighter Edukondal Rao to fight at PFL Champions vs Bellator Champions

Indian MMA Fighter Edukondal Rao is all set to fight at the PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions fight card. Edukondal Rao will be fighting Abdullah Al Qahtani of Saudi Arabia.

Hailing from Karnataka, Edukondal is a WKN India Kickboxing champion and has fought in promotions such as Hero Fight Night, Warrior’s Dream Series, Goa Beach Fight and Matrix Fight Night. He is currently 4-1 in his professional MMA career with wins over names like Sultan Kokni, Sagar Baisla, Ravi Saw and Lionel Mascarenhas.

He was last seen in action at Matrix Fight Night 12 where he suffered a decision loss to Gurtej Singh. Edukondal earned his MFN Contract through his performance at MFN Contenders and will be looking to make a big mark at the PFL vs. Bellator Champions fight card.

Abdullah Al Qahtani, on the other hand, will be coming into the fight on the back of a two-fight winning streak. The Saudi Arabian, who will be fighting in front of his home fans, is 7-1 in his professional career and has fought in PFL and BRAVE Combat Federation. His last two fights have been in PFL as well.

PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions
In a highly anticipated showdown, the main event of the PFL Champions vs. BELLATOR Champions will feature a clash between reigning PFL Heavyweight Champion Renan Ferreira (12-3) and BELLATOR Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader (31-7). The event also sees newly crowned PFL Light Heavyweight Champion Impa Kasanganay (15-3) stepping back into the middleweight division to face BELLATOR Middleweight Champion Johnny Eblen (14-0).

Jamaica's pride, BELLATOR Welterweight Champion Jason Jackson (17-4), will go head-to-head with two-time PFL Welterweight Champion Ray Cooper III (25-9), replacing Magomed Magomedkerimov. PFL Featherweight Champion Jesus Pinedo (23-6-1) makes his return against reigning BELLATOR Featherweight Champion Patricio Pitbull (35-7), marking a clash of two champions.

The Pay-Per-View extravaganza will also feature former PFL Heavyweight Champion Bruno Cappelozza (15-6) taking on former BELLATOR Light Heavyweight Champion Vadim Nemkov (17-2). In a battle of iconic names, former title challengers Thiago Santos (22-11) and Yoel Romero (15-7) will meet in the PFL SmartCage. Additionally, 2023 PFL Lightweight Championship finalist Clay Collard (24-11) is set to face former BELLATOR Featherweight Champion AJ McKee (21-1). This mega-event is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, at the state-of-the-art Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
