BRAVE Combat Federation has added a new contender to its Featherweight division with the signing of Filipino MMA star Drex Zamboanga, the promotion announced.
Zamboanga, a two-time regional MMA champion, has been competing since 2011 and holds a professional record of 14 wins and six losses. Known for his finishing ability, 12 of his victories have come by stoppage.
In addition to his MMA credentials, Zamboanga is a decorated Karate champion, holding a black belt in Sentou Karate and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is also a gold medalist at the PAN Asian No-Gi Grappling Championship.
The Filipino fighter has won four of his last five bouts and now enters a Featherweight division that has seen significant action in 2024. Champion Nemat Abdrashitov currently sits at the top, with Omar Solomanov, Rauan Bekbolat, and Roman Bogatov in pursuit of a title shot. Zamboanga will look to break into the contender mix.
His signing further strengthens BRAVE CF’s ties to the Philippines, a nation that has produced top talents for the promotion, including Stephen Loman, Rolando Dy, and Jeremy Pacatiw.
Zamboanga is among BRAVE CF’s latest acquisitions, setting the stage for an exciting 2025.
