UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts promotion and a division of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), will return to Perth for UFC Fight Night Perth on Sunday, Sept. 28 at RAC Arena, the organization announced Monday alongside the Western Australian Government and Tourism Western Australia.
The event marks the first UFC Fight Night ever held in Perth and the fourth UFC event overall in the city, promising a week of high-energy action featuring top UFC contenders and fan-focused activities.
Travel packages are currently available through Sportsnet Holidays, offering early access to tickets, premium accommodation and exclusive pre-event functions. VIP Experience packages, offered by On Location, will be available soon, featuring perks such as premium seating, weigh-in access, athlete meet-and-greets, and hospitality services.
“We are excited for the return of the UFC Fight Night brand to Australia — and it is destination Perth this September,” said Peter Kloczko, Senior Vice President of UFC Australia and New Zealand. “Our roster across Australia and New Zealand is stronger than ever, and fans can expect a high calibre of action once again at RAC Arena.”
Perth previously hosted UFC 221, UFC 284, and UFC 305, all of which were sellout events accompanied by city-wide fight week activities. The return of UFC Fight Night follows a milestone win by Perth native Jack Della Maddalena, now the first UFC champion from the city and the third from Australia.
“UFC feels at home each time we bring the Octagon to Perth,” Kloczko added. “This recognition is thanks to the strong support from Western Australia and its role in the growth of MMA.”
Don Punch, Acting Minister for Tourism in Western Australia, emphasized the economic and global impact of UFC’s presence in the region.
“UFC continues to deliver strong results whenever it comes to Perth — selling out venues, breaking records, boosting the local economy, and supporting jobs,” Punch said. “This exclusive event will put a global spotlight on our city.”
Fans attending the event can expect traditional fight week experiences including Open Workouts, a Press Conference, and Ceremonial Weigh-Ins. All bout announcements remain subject to approval by the Western Australia Combat Sports Commission.
UFC reports a global fan base of over 700 million, including 309 million social media followers. In Australia and New Zealand, the organization counts more than 4.3 million fans and 10 million followers across platforms.
Since 2010, UFC has held 19 events in Australia, drawing a combined live audience of over 350,000 fans and reaching millions more via global pay-per-view and broadcast platforms.
