Athletes demonstrated what it means to compete in the most international MMA promotion in 2022, with various bouts thrilling crowds over the course of the previous 365 days. However, only five fights were able to advance and were picked as BRAVE CF Fight of the Year nominees.

The BRAVE CF 57 fight between Mohamed Said Maalem and Mohammad Fakhreddine is the first entry. The excitement was ramped up as the two fighters prepared to settle the score in the rematch after their first contest for the vacant light heavyweight title controversially ended in a No Contest. After a barn-burner first round, the BRAVE CF Middleweight champion Fakhreddine eventually became the first BRAVE CF and Arab double champion by TKO due to strikes in the second round.

The fight between Olzhas Eskaraev and Abdisalam Kubanychbek from BRAVE CF 59 is the second candidate for the award. In the main event, Kyrgyzstan's Kubanychbek, who defeated Kazakhstan's Eskaraev by unanimous decision to win the BRAVE CF interim Lightweight title, had a happily ever after. To win easily, Kubanychebk displayed a high level of combat intelligence, proficient grappling, and precise boxing.

The Lightweight championship bout between Russians Akmed Shervaniev and Kamil Magomedov is third on the list. These two athletes were engaged in a full-fledged war that was high-octane, never-quit, and intense. In a fight that was too close to call, possibly even ending in a draw, this BRAVE CF Lightweight matchup included knockdowns, submission attempts, conditioning, heart, skill, and character. However, Shervaniev ultimately received the approval.

At BRAVE CF 63, Brad Katona of Canada, who was representing the bantamweight division, put on a clinic to defend his title against Gamzat Magomedov of Bahrain. Magomedov could only manage two takedowns during the entire bout as Katona had exceptional movement, takedown defence, and exceptional cardio. Katona was one step ahead of Magomedov from round one through round five.

Roman Bogatov vs. Tae Kyun Kim at BRAVE CF 64 is the fifth contender for the 2022 BRAVE CF Fight of the Night. Roman Bogatov of Russia put up a tenacious display to win the title of global BRAVE CF Featherweight champion. At the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain, the Russian absorbed the electric force of South Korea's Tae Kyun Kim from round one onwards to grind out a tough split-decision victory.
