BRAVE Combat Federation delivered a night to remember at BRAVE CF 96 on Saturday, with multiple title changes, thrilling finishes, and hometown heroes igniting the crowd at Hala Tivoli.

In the main event, Lebanon’s Mohammad Fakhreddine reasserted his dominance in the Middleweight division, reclaiming the world title with a first-round TKO over reigning Light Heavyweight champion Erko Jun. The finish came at 4:41 of Round 1, marking another historic moment for Fakhreddine, the only two-division champion in BRAVE CF history.

The co-main event saw a major upset, as Serbia’s Borislav Nikolić submitted bantamweight champion Nicholas Hwende with a ninja choke at 1:40 of Round 4 to capture the BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Championship. The win brought a dramatic end to weeks of verbal sparring between the two athletes.

Heavyweight contenders Miha Frlic and Shah Kamali engaged in a back-and-forth battle that brought the crowd to its feet. Despite suffering multiple knockdowns, Kamali survived into the third round before Frlic closed the show with a TKO just 29 seconds into the frame, preserving his undefeated record.

Slovenia’s Monika Kučinič gave the home crowd more reason to cheer, avenging a previous loss to Sofiia Bagishvili with a TKO at 4:55 of Round 2 in their rematch. It was a career-best performance for the flyweight prospect.

Marciano Ferreira emerged as a frontrunner in the unofficial flyweight title eliminator, outpointing Bidzina Gavashelishvili via unanimous decision in a technically demanding bout that could put him next in line to face division standout Muhammad Mokaev.

Other highlights included a dominant win by local favorite Domen Drnovsek over Filip Guša and a gritty unanimous decision victory by Kiril Negru in the opening bout against Róbert Guth.

With championship gold changing hands, breakout performances from Slovenian stars, and a defining moment for Fakhreddine, BRAVE CF 96 proved to be a landmark event for European MMA and for the promotion’s continued expansion on the continent.
