BRAVE CF 87 to Feature Lightweight Title Showdown in the Netherlands

BRAVE Combat Federation is set to light up the Netherlands once again with BRAVE CF 87, headlined by a highly anticipated Lightweight title fight between reigning champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek and Georgian two-division champion Raul Tutarauli. The event is scheduled for September 22 in Alkmaar, marking BRAVE CF’s second venture into the Netherlands this year.

Kubanychbek’s First Title Defense

This bout represents Abdisalam Kubanychbek's actual first title defense. Although he was initially slated to defend his Lightweight title against Lucas Martins at BRAVE CF 77, the fight was adjusted to a non-title bout after Martins missed weight. Kubanychbek showcased his elite skills by securing a first-round stoppage against Martins, further solidifying his reputation as a dominant force in the division.

The Kyrgyz champion, known as "The Boogeyman of BRAVE CF," boasts an impressive unbeaten streak within the organization and has not suffered a loss since 2017. His notable victories include wins over Kamil Magomedov, Olzhas Eskaraev, Lucas Martins, Jahongir Saidjamolov, and Rolando Dy.

Tutarauli’s Quest for BRAVE CF Glory

Raul Tutarauli, a two-division champion in the regional Featherweight and Lightweight divisions, aims to capture the BRAVE CF Lightweight title. Despite being new to BRAVE CF, Tutarauli is no stranger to the organization’s alumni, holding a 5-1 record against them. His impressive resume includes victories over Marcel Grabinski, Valeriu Mircea, and Marcin Held.

Ranked as the top Lightweight in several regional Tapology rankings, Tutarauli’s professional record stands at 34 wins and 7 losses, with 22 of those wins coming by knockout—almost double the knockout victories of Kubanychbek.

Event Details and Significance

BRAVE CF 87 will be held in association with Enfusion’s ECE MMA and represents the seventh event of the year for BRAVE Combat Federation. The event is also the second BRAVE CF show in the Netherlands, following the successful debut at BRAVE CF 83 earlier this year. This fight night is part of BRAVE CF’s ambitious 70-day world tour, covering six countries and reinforcing its position as the most hosted MMA organization globally and in Europe.
