The biggest combat sports festival in European history, the BRAVE Serbia International Combat Week, will be headlined by the fastest-growing MMA organisation in the world, BRAVE Combat Federation, as 2023 gets underway in Belgrade. Abdisalam Kubanychbek, the interim world champion, promises to use his striking to defeat Kamil Magomedov in the main event of BRAVE CF 69 as they battle for the Lightweight championship.

‘’Whether I fight three or five rounds, I’m always ready to be the last man standing and to have my arm raised. For this fight in particular, I am looking forward to keeping the fight in the stand-up and working from there’’, said ‘’Omok’’.

In a pre-fight interview, Kubanychbek suggested a technique that could be a psychological advantage for him. Abdisalam, who is well-known for his wrestling, has strong hands but prefers to combat on the ground. Against Kamil, however, he must be aware of the threat of submission and bear in mind that Magomedov has a strong taekwondo background.

Kubanychbek, a boxer in his own right, would do well to maintain boxing distance and prevent Kamil from recovering from his kicks. Regardless of how the fight turns out, Magomedov's pre-fight remarks, in which he stated.

“If the Dagestani feels that he has the skill set to beat me, then he should show me at BRAVE CF 69 so that we can put on a show for all of Europe and the world to see. I have competed in many fights, but it does not get any better than this - fighting at the biggest combat sports festival in European history. So I look forward to seeing what Kamil has to offer me. I know he has good tactics, so I will not step back. I sincerely hope he does not, too."

As Belgrade welcomes more than 500 athletes from 60+ nations for the IMMAF World Championships, in association with SMMAF (Serbian MMA Federation) and BRAVE CF 69, BRAVE CF 69 headlines a historic week for MMA in Europe. This is the first time International Combat Week has been held outside of the Middle East
