BRAVE Combat Federation (BRAVE CF) has officially announced a historic matchup as No. 1-ranked contender Muhammad “The Punisher” Mokaev faces Irish rising star Gerard “The Animal” Burns for the inaugural BRAVE CF Flyweight World Championship. The bout will headline BRAVE CF 100 on Friday, November 7, at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain.
“This is the golden opportunity I’ve been waiting for,” said Mokaev, the No. 1-ranked flyweight contender. “I’ve fought my way through every challenge, and on November 7, I will etch my name in history as the first BRAVE CF Flyweight World Champion.”
Burns, representing Ireland, vowed to make his mark on the global stage. “Ireland has been waiting for this moment,” he said. “I’m coming to Bahrain to bring that World Title home. November 7 will be the night I prove that the Irish spirit cannot be denied.”
Widely regarded as one of the premier flyweights in the world, Mokaev holds an immaculate record of 15 wins, including seven submissions and two knockouts. Following his dominant runs at the 2019 and 2020 IMMAF World Championships, “The Punisher” made an immediate impact in BRAVE CF, winning four of his first five bouts with technical excellence and relentless pace.
After extending his undefeated streak outside the organization, the Dagestan-born Englishman made a triumphant return to BRAVE CF in December 2024, submitting Filipino fighter Joevincent So with a first-round D’Arce choke. Now, Mokaev stands on the verge of capturing the organization’s first-ever Flyweight crown.
Standing in his path is Gerard Burns, one of Ireland’s most explosive MMA prospects. With a 58-percent finishing rate and a 7–1 record, “The Animal” has stormed through the division to earn his shot at gold. Since debuting with BRAVE CF in 2023, Burns has delivered back-to-back first-round stoppages and two more convincing victories, including a dominant unanimous decision win over Alinson “El Chompiras” Ochoa at BRAVE CF 97 this past July.
With both fighters at the peak of their careers, BRAVE CF 100 is set to make history as it crowns the first BRAVE CF Flyweight World Champion in what promises to be an unforgettable clash between two of the brightest stars in global MMA.
