BFC 6: India vs. Afghanistan showdown to feature on the event in Assam

A high-profile India vs. Afghanistan showdown is scheduled to happen at Bidang Fighting Championship 6 in Guwahati as India’s Avizo Lanamai takes on Afghanistan’s Zahoor Shah in a Featherweight bout.

Avizo Lanamai, who trains out of The Combat Academy Nagaland, in Nagaland, has been a force to be reckon with in the domestic scene. He currently holds a professional MMA record of two wins and one loss and is coming off a loss against Rahul Thapa at Matrix Fight Night 12. Prior to this, he secured two wins in Matrix Fight Night with his wins coming against Dushyant Singh and Abhishek Negi. 

Zahoor Shah, on the other hand, holds a similar record of two wins and one loss. His last outing happened at Matrix Fight Night 9 against Seth Rosario where he suffered a first round TKO loss. Before this, he had stopped India’s Srikant Sekhar at MFN 8.

Along with the showdown between Avizo and Zahoor, Bidang Fighting Championship has lined up a string of exciting fights for the fans.

Bidang Fighting Championship 6 is led by Indian MMA star Bhabajeet Choudhury and will be held at Nehru Stadium in Guwahati on July 21, 2024.
