Former Title Challenger Grishenko Eyes Champ path Through Undefeated Ben Tynan

Kirill Grishenko's road back to ONE Heavyweight World Title contention runs directly through undefeated Canadian Ben Tynan at ONE Fight Night 34 on 2 August, and the Belarusian veteran understands exactly what's at stake in their clash at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.

The 34-year-old former ONE Interim Heavyweight MMA World Title challenger has transformed himself into a complete mixed martial artist since his Greco-Roman wrestling days, developing striking skills that complement his grappling foundation.

"I think people have already seen that I can box and kick. Striking is not an issue. When you live this life, give everything to training, and fully commit, there's no reason to doubt yourself," Grishenko said.

His evolution as a fighter will be tested against Tynan, whose perfect finishing rate and freestyle wrestling background have earned championship-level recognition from his veteran opponent.

"Is Ben on the level of Anatoly and 'Reug Reug?' Absolutely. I never underestimate my opponents. He's a media-friendly guy and a high-level athlete, so again, it's a great opportunity for my growth. But the future of this division? That's me," Grishenko explained.

The acknowledgment of Tynan's elite status speaks to Grishenko's respect for an opponent who submitted Kang Ji Won in his ONE Championship debut.

Facing an undefeated fighter requires unwavering focus and tactical discipline.

"I take him seriously as an opponent – and I'm not letting my guard down for a second," he stated.

For Grishenko, this heavyweight contest represents more than just another fight.

It's a calculated step toward reclaiming his position among the division's title contenders in a landscape currently dominated by current heavyweight king Oumar Kane.

"Everything I want and work toward is that ONE belt. A win over Ben gets me closer to that goal," Grishenko declared.
