Ashok Bagade Suffers First Professional MMA Loss Against Yuto Shioya

Indian MMA fighter Ashok Bagade suffered the first professional loss of his career after dropping a unanimous decision to Japan’s Yuto Shioya at ONE Friday Fights 175.

The flyweight contest went the full three rounds, with Shioya earning the judges’ decision after 15 minutes of action. Bagade was unable to extend his unbeaten run, while Shioya added another victory to his professional record.

 Bagade entered the contest with a 4-0 professional MMA record, having won all four of his previous bouts by submission. The Indian fighter had secured victories over Karandeep Singh, Karan Singh Jadhav, Andrey Chelbaev and Rohit Raina in Warriors Dream Series.

Shioya, meanwhile, entered the matchup with a 6-2 professional record and was coming off a run of victories in Japanese MMA promotions. The Japanese fighter had recorded several stoppage wins in his recent outings before facing Bagade.

The result moves Bagade to 4-1 in professional MMA, while Shioya improves to 7-2.
