Ankalaev vs. Pereira Rematch Headlines UFC 320 on Oct. 4 in Las Vegas

Light heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev will defend his title in a highly anticipated rematch against Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 320, set for Oct. 4 at T-Mobile Arena, UFC CEO Dana White announced Tuesday.

Ankalaev earned a unanimous decision win over Pereira in March to claim the 205-pound crown and has since called for a second meeting to solidify his reign. For Pereira, the bout offers a shot at redemption and a chance to reclaim the light heavyweight title after suffering his first loss in the division. Prior to that defeat, Pereira compiled five straight wins, including four in title bouts.

In the co-main event, bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili will put his title on the line for the third time this year when he faces Cory Sandhagen. Dvalishvili has already scored victories over Umar Nurmagomedov and Sean O’Malley in 2025, cementing his status as one of the UFC’s most active titleholders. Sandhagen, a dangerous striker, now steps in seeking his first taste of UFC gold.

Also featured on the main card, former light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka will return to the Octagon to take on Khalil Rountree Jr. in a potential No. 1 contender’s bout. Prochazka scored a TKO win over ex-champ Jamahal Hill in January, while Rountree edged out Hill by decision in June.

Additional bouts for UFC 320 are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
