Amanda Nunes to Be Inducted into UFC Hall of Fame Class of 2025

UFC today announced that former bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame’s Modern Wing as a member of the Class of 2025. Nunes will become the third female fighter to enter the Hall of Fame in UFC history.

The 2025 UFC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place during the 13th Annual UFC International Fight Week on Thursday, June 26, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event will be streamed live exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS.

“Amanda Nunes is the greatest female fighter of all time,” UFC President Dana White said. “She had one of the most legendary careers in combat sports history. It’s an honor to induct her into the UFC Hall of Fame.”

Nunes will be the 15th member of the Hall of Fame’s Modern Wing, which includes fighters who turned pro after Nov. 17, 2000, and meet other specific criteria. A veteran of 28 fights, Nunes boasts a 23-5 record, including significant wins over UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey, flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko, and former featherweight champions Cris Cyborg and Germaine de Randamie.

Nunes began her professional MMA career in 2008, making her UFC debut in 2013. Over the next decade, she became the first woman to hold two UFC titles simultaneously, capturing both the bantamweight and featherweight championships.

In her most recent appearance at UFC 289 in June 2023, Nunes defeated Irene Aldana by unanimous decision in her final fight before retiring.

Nunes’ record includes the longest winning streak in UFC women’s history, the most finishes and knockouts in UFC women’s history, and several other notable accomplishments. She has been named Female Fighter of the Year by MMA Junkie and Fighters Only World MMA Awards multiple times.

Originally from Pojuca, Bahia, Brazil, Nunes was a standout in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo before transitioning to MMA. She currently resides in Florida with her wife, former UFC fighter Nina, and their two children.
