Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, the reigning ONE women's atomweight Muay Thai world champion, stunned the world in 2020 by defeating the highly regarded Stamp Fairtex to capture the title. Stamp won both the ONE atomweight kickboxing and Muay Thai world titles in her debut year in the company.

But, Stamp had previously lost her kickboxing world championship to Janet Todd a few months before to her match with Allycia Hellen Rodrigues. Nonetheless, the odds indicated that, according to Muay Thai rules, the Thai superstar was the favourite to defeat the Brazilian.

The first three rounds were quite tight, but in the championship rounds, Rodrigues began to apply pressure. Stamp was obviously still sporting the bruising on her face at the end of the fourth.

Despite the good fight from Stamp, Allycia went on to secure a majority decision in the fight to take home the win and the title.

She now returns to fight Janet Todd and it would be interesting to see how the fight plays out.

Allycia Rodrigues plans to knockout Janet Todd

Allycia is planning to produce a knockout against Janet Todd.

Rodrigues anticipates unifying the belt in highlight-reel style even though she has long been confident in her capacity to become the undisputed atomweight Muay Thai queen.

She's making it clear that she intends to defeat "JT" before the final bell as ONE Fight Night 8 draws near.

“I’m going to knock her out. I believe we’ll exchange some blows in the first and second rounds, but the intention is to press from the beginning in search of the knockout,” she said.
