Allycia Hellen Rodrigues Reflects On Phetjeeja Win, Confirms MMA readiness

The queen still sits on her throne. Allycia Hellen Rodrigues successfully defended her ONE Women's Atomweight Muay Thai World Title against Phetjeeja at The Inner Circle 19, turning back the Thai striker's bid for two-sport glory in a tightly contested battle between two of the division's finest.

The victory marked the fifth successful defense of Rodrigues' title, further cementing her status as one of the best pound-for-pound female strikers in the world. The Phuket Fight Club product improved her career record to 36-7 and her ONE record to 6-1, remaining undefeated in the atomweight Muay Thai division throughout her reign.

The fight lived up to its billing as a battle between two legendary strikers, with the contest going down to the wire. Rodrigues, however, walked away believing she had done enough across the bulk of the rounds to secure the win.

"It was a close fight, but I feel I won most of the rounds. I only lost one round, so I was a little bit unsure, but I was confident that I did enough to take the win," she said.

Phetjeeja pushed the champion to her absolute limit in pursuit of becoming a two-sport ONE World Champion, and the respect between the two competitors was evident in the aftermath. Rodrigues did not rule out the possibility of running it back in the future.

"We're always ready, and we're going to get better and better. I have so much respect for you and your story. It was a pleasure to share the ring with Phetjeeja. See you soon," she added.

With her Muay Thai legacy continuing to grow, Rodrigues now turns her attention to a new frontier. The Brazilian has been quietly building toward an MMA career, and this latest title defense brings that transition closer to reality.

"I'm already training MMA, and I'm planning to make the move. If everything goes well, my next fight will be in MMA. For sure, I want the MMA belt," she explained.
