The Professional Fighters League (PFL) will bring its 2025 World Tournament to the Southeast as the PFL World Tournament Charlotte: Finals takes place Friday, August 15 at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event will feature three five-round championship bouts in the Lightweight, Bantamweight, and Women’s Flyweight divisions.
Headlining the card, England’s Alfie Davis (19-5-1) meets Dagestan’s Gadzhi Rabadanov (26-4-2) in the Lightweight Tournament Final. Rabadanov enters as the reigning 2024 PFL Lightweight Champion, while Davis looks to claim his first PFL title.
The Bantamweight Final pits Brazil’s Marcirley Alves (14-4) against American standout Justin Wetzell (12-2). Both fighters advanced to the championship round after stepping in as tournament alternates.
In the Women’s Flyweight Final, grappling specialist Jena Bishop (9-2) takes on former Bellator World Champion Liz Carmouche (24-8) in a highly anticipated battle between two elite ground fighters.
Also featured on the Main Card is a Lightweight Showcase Bout between Mads Burnell (20-7) and Robert Watley (15-3).
The Main Card begins at 9:00 p.m. ET and will air live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ESPN+, and DAZN. Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster.
The Early Card, which starts at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+ and DAZN, includes five showcase matchups. Among them is a Women’s Flyweight bout featuring former Bellator World Champion Juliana Velasquez (13-4) against Ukraine’s Ekaterina Shakalova (9-3). Also returning to action is Biaggio Ali Walsh (2-1), grandson of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, against an opponent yet to be announced.
