Teenage fighter Adrian Lee has a clear vision for how his comeback will unfold, and the 19-year-old believes his ability to blend striking, wrestling, and grappling seamlessly will lead to a first-round TKO victory over Shozo Isojima at ONE Fight Night 40 on February 14.
The Singapore-American will face the 28-year-old Japanese fighter in a lightweight MMA bout at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with both competitors seeking to bounce back from defeats to the same opponent.
Lee enters with a 3-1 promotional record after suffering his first professional loss in September 2025 against ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo.
The defeat provided valuable perspective on the level of competition awaiting at the sport's highest echelon.
"That fight with Tye, it was a rough one. Tye was definitely the highest caliber opponent I've fought so far, and I think it was definitely a little bit of a shocker," the teenage sensation admitted.
Rather than viewing the loss as a setback, Lee focused on the education gained from competing against an elite grappler who has since demonstrated MMA dominance. That experience shaped his preparation for the Isojima matchup.
Lee believes his versatility across all fighting disciplines gives him advantages that will prove decisive on February 14.
"I've kind of been able to just flow between the striking, the wrestling, and the grappling. I really feel like that's a big part of the MMA game, being able to combine them all, and I feel like that's my biggest strength," Lee stated.
Lee delivered a specific prediction for how their encounter will conclude, outlining both method and round.
"The way I see this fight playing out is that I get the finish in round one. That's always my plan, always my priority going into any of my fights. I'm going to work my striking and take him to the ground. Probably a TKO finish," the 19-year-old said.
