Abdisalam "Omok" Kubanychbek, the new BRAVE Combat Federation Lightweight champion, received a red carpet welcome when he landed in his native Kyrgyzstan today wearing the golden strap casually over his right shoulder.
During BRAVE CF 69 in Belgrade, Serbia, over the weekend, Kubanychbek defeated Kamil Magomedov of Dagestan to become the first-ever undisputed world champion of Kyrgyzstan. The fight lasted five rounds and was fiercely contested.
Hundreds of Kyrgyz people lined the hallways of the Manas International Airport in anticipation of their champion, their joy stoked by his accomplishment. Kubanychbek was greeted as he left the checkout area by admirers, fans, relatives, and family who gave him traditional Kyrgyz bread and other local delicacies.
Before dressing up in stunning traditional cloaks and Ak-kalpak felt hats for their farewell team photos at the airport, the indisputable champion displayed grace and confidence as he spoke with and took selfies with admirers. Kubanychbek completed a circle in Kyrgyzstan today because his promotional debut at BRAVE CF 32 in December 2019 took place in Bishkek.
That evening, "Omok" successfully registered for BRAVE CF, which was followed by a seven-fight winning streak that carried him to the title. Four years later, he made his triumphant homecoming today as the ruler of the Lightweight divisions, being known as "the most dreaded man" on the BRAVE CF roster.
