X1 International Women?s Fight Night 2 Results: Akshata remains unbeaten, Surbala gets stoppage win

The second edition of X1 International Women’s Fight Night was held at the High Spirits Café in Pune on August 28, 2019.

In the main event of the night, Akshata Khadtare made quick work of Suman Pal and secured a first-round submission win through an arm-bar. With the win, Akshata improved her undefeated streak on home soil and cemented her dominance.

Meanwhile, Surbala Laishram stole the limelight in the co-main event as she stopped Reshma Sakpal in the first-round. The dominant outing from Surbala once again asserted the fact that she is someone that people should watch out for.

Prior to the co-main event, Monika Ghag secured a decision win over Tejaswini Nandedkar after gruelling three rounds of action.

Samata Somawane and Priya Singh delivered a memorable showdown that lasted three rounds. The constant pressure from Samata gave her a clear edge in the scorecard as she was adjudged the winner via a decision.

The fight between Somi Devi and Mayuri Taralkar also went the distance much to the surprise of many and it was Mayuri that came out on top via a decision.  

Elsewhere, Sneha Sawant made quick work of Dhanavath Kavyanjali in the first fight of the night which ended in a first-round submission. Harpeet Kaur also secured a similar win against Sanika Patil in the second fight of the night.
