The Ultimate Fitness Club in Baner, Pune will play host to the Ultimate Grappling Championship on 28 February 2021. The 32-person grappling tournament will be fought under single elimination EBI Rules and will host grapplers from across the nation.

Interestingly, the tournament will see the representation of three female grapplers. Meryl Sebastian of Warrior’s Cove Academy, Margasiddha Chavan, and Surabhi Soman of Team Purple Hand Gang are confirmed for the tournament which will be under the 75 KG weight category.

All three grapplers have been competing across tournaments for quite some time now with Meryl even picking up multiple medals at the ADCC India which was held back in February 2020.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize as well which the organizers are expecting to increase in the upcoming editions.

The event is supported by FitBu, The Fight Label, Iphysio, and Spoden while LockerRoom India will serve as the Media Partner. There are still a few spots left in the tournament as of writing and the same is expected to be filled in the coming days prior to the tournament. Tune in for more details and let us know your thought on the entry of these warriors into the tournament.
