UFC returned this weekend with UFC Vegas 17 which was headlined by the welterweight showdown between Stephen Thompson and Geoff Neal.
Thompson delivered an excellent performance to outclass Neal in the fight which lasted five rounds and once again cemented his spot on top of the Welterweight division. This is the second straight win for Thompson after suffering two back to back defeats to Anthony Pettis and Darren Till. Neal, on the other hand, was on a seven-fight winning streak which was put to an end by Thompson.
Jose Aldo got back into the winning column when he outclassed Marlon Vera in the co-main event. The former UFC champion came into the fight on the back of three back to back losses and the win is indeed a big boost for him. After the fight, Aldo called out TJ Dillashaw as well.
Michel Pereira put an end to the good run of Khaos Williams with a unanimous decision victory when Rob Font stopped Marlon Moraes in the first-round. This loss marked an end to the eight-fight winning streak of Khaos Williams. Pereira, on the other hand, is now on a two-fight winning streak. Marcin Tybura also got a stoppage over Greg Hardy in the opening fight of the main card as well.
Elsewhere, in the prelims, Anthony Pettis got the better of Alex Morono when likes of Pannie Kianzad, Deron Winn, Taila Santos, Tafon Nchukwi, Jimmy Flick and Christos Giagos also got wins. You can see the complete results from the event below.
