UFC Fight Island 6 Results: Ortega gets a comfortable win over The Korean Zombie

UFC returned with UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. The Korean Zombie today and the card delivered some exciting fights.

The main event saw the much-awaited showdown between Brian Ortega and Chan Sung “The Korean Zombie” Jung. Both fighters took the cautious route in the first round but shifted the gear a bit in the second round which saw more aggressive attempts. Ortega managed to drop Jung with a spinning elbow in the last minute of the round as well and landed a takedown following the same.

Ortega had more success with striking in the third round and fourth when The Korean Zombie was cut open in the fourth round after an accidental head butt during a takedown attempt from Ortega. Ortega steered successfully through the fifth round as well to take home a comfortable decision victory.

In the co-main event, Jessica Andrade stopped Katlyn Chookagian in the first-round itself. Andrade landed a huge body punch out of clinch that pushed Chookagian to the back foot with just seconds to go in the round. The Brazilian then followed up on the damage to secure the stoppage and win.

Jim Crute made quick work of Modestas Bukauskas when he secured a first-round stoppage. Elsewhere, James Krause and Jonathan Martinez secured unanimous decision victories over their respective opponents in the main card. Below are the complete results from UFC Fight Island 6.
