UFC returned with UFC 276 today and the pay-per-view had plenty of action on offer.
In the main event, Israel Adesanya had a comfortable outing against Jared Cannonier and took home a decision win. Cannonier came in with the strategy to use cage pressure against the reigning champion and had spells of success as well. The challenger, however, failed to produce anything to impress the judges. After five rounds, Adesanya took home the decision win and added another successful title defense to his impressive resume.
Alexander Volkanovski produced yet another excellent performance against Max Holloway in the co-main event. After a slow start in the first round, the reigning Featherweight champion shifted gears in the remaining rounds to take home a dominant decision win.
Alex Pereira pushed his case for a Middleweight title fight after stopping Sean Strickland in the first round of their middleweight contest. Strickland decided to fight on the foot against the former GLORY champion and the risk did not pay off as the Brazilian managed to land a huge punch in the opening round itself which resulted in the stoppage.

Bryan Barberena secured the biggest win of his career as he stopped former Welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler. Lawler had his moments in the first round but Barberena managed to adjust in the second round and took home the win.
The main card started with a no-contest after the fight between Sean O’Malley and Pedro Munhoz was ruled as a no-contest after an accidental eye poke. Munhoz was not able to continue after the incident which made the officials call off the fight.
The undercard played host to two major retirements as Jessica Eye and Donald Cerrone announced retirement from MMA. Jessica Eye suffered a decision loss against Maycee Barber and wrapped up her career which spanned more than a decade.
Cerrone, on the other hand, suffered a second-round submission loss to Jim Miller and noted that he will be hanging up his gloves as well. You can see the complete results from UFC 276 below.
