Colby Covington goes in as a betting favorite against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272

The showdown between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal is all set to happen at UFC 272. The matchup was announced by UFC last day and as per the betting odds, Covington is the favorite to win the fight.

As per betonline.ag, Covington goes into the UFC 272 headliners as a heavy favorite at -325 over when Masvidal is an underdog at +275. In other words, if a $100 bet is placed on Colby Covington winning, then it will fetch $30.77 when the same bet on Masvidal will fetch $275. Covington has a winning probability of 76 percent as per the betting lines.

Covington comes into the fight on the back of his loss against Kamaru Usman which happened back in November 2021. Covington and Usman went the complete distance in the fight that took place at UFC 268 with Usman taking home the win via a decision in the end. Colby is currently 16-3 in his professional MMA career and holds wins over names like Demian Maia, Rafael Dos Anjos, Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley among others.

Jorge Masvidal, meanwhile, is 35-15 in his professional MMA career. He is on a two-fight losing streak at the moment having lost to Kamaru Usman on two occasions with the last one being a second-round knockout loss. Before his run with Usman, Masvidal was on a three-fight winning streak with wins over Nate Diaz, Ben Askren, and Darren Till.

UFC 272 happens at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 5, 2022, and will feature a string of other exciting bouts as well.
