Conor McGregor made a triumphant return to the UFC at UFC 246 by stopping Donald Cerrone in the first round. McGregor, who was on the aggressive side from the start itself, landed some nasty shoulders on Cerrone’s face which proved to be crucial.

McGregor then went onto finish Cowboy with punches and made sure that his return ended in a victory.

Elsewhere, Holly Holm secured a dominant decision win over Raquel Pennington in the main event. Holly relied heavily on her clinch game to get the win much to the surprise of many. Aleksei Oleinik went home with the 45th submission victory of his career when he submitted Maurice Greene via an armbar in the second round of their fight.

Brian Kelleher also secured a submission win in the main card by getting the better of Ode Osbourne via guillotine. Deigo Ferreira, meanwhile, got a huge win when he submitted former Champion Anthony Pettis with a RNC. With the win, he extended the winning streak to six as well.

The biggest story of the undercard came thanks to Roxanne Modafferi who derailed the momentum of Maycee Barber. Roxanne took home a unanimous decision win at the expense of Maycee who injured her leg halfway through the fight.
