One of the most interesting fights leading up to ONE: Bad Blood was the showdown featuring Tial Thang and Sunoto Peringkat. The fight, however, had an anti-climatic ending after Peringkat was not able to continue due to an accidental groin strike.
While there are debates ongoing about whether or not it was an actual groin strike, Tial Thang has released a statement about the whole situation. Thang, who was visibly frustrated with the ending of the fight took it to Instagram and noted that he is ready for a rematch.
“First, Thank you Lord for allowing me to do what I love for a living. I’m so sorry to all my fans and teammates that we didn’t get the result we wanted but on to the next one. Thank you to all my sponsors @takedownshop @killcliff @coachstrout @sanfordmma @dougkalman @1acupuncturerolfing . @onechampionship thank you for the opportunity and rematch? #badblood #imcominghard,” Thang wrote.
The 28-year-old holds a professional record of 3-1 to his name and was having a good run in the fight before the stoppage. He made his ONE Championship debut back in 2019 and secured three back-to-back wins before suffering a loss to Min Jong Song in 2021.
