Team Lakay star Stephen Loman has expressed his interest in fighting former ONE Championship champion Bibiano Fernandes. The Filipino MMA star is currently on a two-fight winning streak in the promotion and is considered to be next in line for a title shot by many.

However, the recent performance from Fabricio Andrade against Kwon Won Il is likely to shake things up as the Brazilian might get the first shot against current champion John Lineker. While the title fight is indeed in the plans for Loman, he is ready to fight former champion, Bibiano Fernandes.

“He’s still the champion Bibiano that we know. He still has that striking and wrestling prowess, that superb control over his opponent on the ground and submission maneuvers. He didn’t rust at all. It’s about pressuring him. Could be in striking, wrestling, in the ground. It’s all the facets of MMA,” Loman noted (via BurnSports).

Loman went on to add that he is ready to take up the title fight as well if ONE Championship offers him the same.

“I’m more than 100 percent ready to fight for the title if they offer me the fight. I will pour my everything into it. This is my grail, to be the next title-holder, and following the footsteps of my seniors who became world champions on their division,” Loman added.

Loman currently holds a record of 15-2 to his name and has not lost a fight since 2016. He is currently on a 10-fight winning streak and was the BRAVE Combat Federation Bantamweight champion before joining ONE Championship.
