I know what it takes to defend the title: Angela Lee confident of beating Stamp

The much-awaited showdown between Angela Lee and Stamp Fairtex is set to happen at ONE: X.

The stakes are high for the fight and the ONE Atomweight title will also be up for grabs with Lee trying to keep it around her waist when Stamp will be looking to make history by becoming a three-sport champion in ONE Championship.

Though Lee will be making her return to the ONE Circle after a gap, she is confident about defending the title against Stamp.

“I wouldn't say self-doubt, but I definitely have nerves. You know, I get nervous when I think about it when I'm training, when I'm preparing. And I'm constantly thinking about it, constantly trying to mentally prepare myself for what fight week is going to look like, what the night of the fight is going to look like, what stepping in the cage is going to feel like, and just trying to, you know, play all those scenarios in my mind, so that it's not going to be something foreign to me, I have done this before. Many times I've been in this position. So just keep reminding myself that I know what it takes to be the world champion, I know what it takes to defend the belt," said Lee in a recent interview with ONE Championship.

Lee is currently coming off a win against ONE Strawweight champion Xiong Jing Nan and has multiple successful defenses to her name. Stamp, on the other hand, won the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix to earn her shot at the ONE Atomweight title.
