Siddharth Shivaji Chandanshive is all set to make his MMA return after a long gap of six years when he fights at Hero Pro Fight Night 3. Siddharth will be going up against Vinit Desai at the event and will be looking to improve his professional record of 5-1 which he had built during his run back in 2013.

Siddharth, who was part of the Super Fight League back in 2013 had wins over names like Mayank Dogra, Yash Kumar, Amit Raj, Gaurav Gulliya, and Mukesh Gora with his only loss coming against Mukesh which he eventually avenged.

A lack of events and his management not being able to find fights is what kept him out for a long time according to him.

“Earlier, we only had the Super Fight League. However, now, there are a lot of events and a lot of Indian fighters are competing outside as well. I was born to fight. I had been training wrestling since I was 13 and had a good run in Super Fight League as well. I even got to train at Jackson Wink MMA for six months under the UFC Development program,” he said.

Interestingly, Siddharth will be making his return in Nashik which is exactly where he started his wrestling journey. He noted that he is looking to win three-four fights in the domestic scene and hoping to get fights on the international stage soon.

“I took this fight because I had to make a return. I hope to get three or four wins and hope to fight outside after that. Every fight dreams to become big and I’m no different,” he concluded.

Hero Pro Fight Night 3 will happen on December 19, 2020, in Nashik and will be headlined by Dushan Burle vs. Hemant Wadekar as we reported earlier.
