Demetrious Johnson and Rodtang Jitmuangnon delivered an exciting super fight at ONE X. The fight happened under special rules with the rounds alternating between Muay-Thai and MMA rules and saw Demetrious Johnson getting a submission win in the second round.

With everything done and dusted, there have been a lot of talks of similar fights in the future as well but before that, former UFC fighter and analyst Dan Hardy decided to dig deep into the DJ – Rodtang showdown.

Interestingly, Hardy has found out there was an illegal move from Demetrious Johnson in the fight. The former UFC Welterweight pointed out that Johnson used his toes to grab the fence at one point in the fight.

"What there is here, the cheeky little mouse is he [Johnson] is hanging on to the cage with his toes. Of course, this is on the referee to catch, but had it not been for these toes on the fence, DJ may not have been able to hold this position. And I kinda feel bad for Rodtang because he may have felt like he was controlled fair-and-square there but in actuality, DJ was holding on to the fence for a good few seconds,” Hardy noted during his analysis (h/t SportsKeeda)

Interestingly, the referee was not in a position to see the illegal move from Johnson. Do you think it would have changed the result if the referee had noted this? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section of the article below.
