Ritu Phogat set to be part of ONE Atomweight Grand Prix Tournament

Ritu Phogat is all set to make the next huge step in her Mixed Martial Arts career. The Indian MMA star has found a place in the eight-woman ONE Atomweight Grand Prix, the winner of which will get a shot at the ONE Championship Atomweight World title.

The announcement of the contenders was made by ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong through his social media pages and it was also revealed that the tournament will begin on May 28, 2021.

Ritu currently has a professional record of 4-0 to her name and had been vocal about eventually winning the ONE Atomweight title and had expressed her interest in competing in the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix as well.

Apart from Ritu, the tournament will also see a string of exciting names including Denice Zamboanga, Meng Bo, Stamp Fairtex, Itsuki Hirata, and more. You can see the complete list of contenders for the Grand Prix below.
