Reshma Sakpal is an Indian MMA fighter, a software Engineer, A businesswoman, and above all, she is a super mother to her little baby girl.

Reshma started MMA for self-defense but soon started competing where she found success. She won at multiple events including a four-woman Strawweight tournament at the first-ever Women’s Fight Night in India by X1 International. She is also the founder and owner of Tapout Zone.

While balancing everything as a single mother has not been a cakewalk, being the superwoman that she is, Reshma is powering through the hurdles.

“There are a lot of challenges that come with being a Single Mother, An MMA fighter, and a businesswoman. There is a continuous struggle to balance day-to-day life. It is not always pretty as it seems. Sometimes, I feel like giving up and cry as I’m not able to give time to my baby girl and that’s the worst feeling a mother can have. But all the time, I’ve learned to handle the pressure and bring discipline into my life and that’s the beauty of the sport. It makes you strong and prepares you to face the worst” she said.

MMA is indeed something that she recommends to all the mothers out there and notes that it is the best thing that happened to her.

“For me, MMA is like meditation. For those mothers who want to learn MMA as a career, I’ll just say go for it. That’s the best thing ever that happened to me in my life. It helped me to grow as a person. Wish you all a Happy Mother’s Day from my side,” Reshma concluded.
