Reinier De Ridder is confident that he can finish Andre Galvao in the first round if the two were to fight in an MMA fight. De Ridder was responding to the comments recently made by Galvao who noted that he could submit the two-division champion in an MMA fight.
“It would be over pretty soon. First-round, some knees to the head, I imagine. Something like that would end it, but I don’t think we’ll see it anytime soon. But maybe one day. It would be cool,” Reinier De Ridder noted in the interview with ONE Championship.

The Dutchman also talked about the grappling match that he had with Galvao and added that the Brazilian was in the defense mode.
“[Galvao] was the one [in guard], so I think he was in defense mode. But at the end, he got on top [and] he tried to pass a little bit. But it was a bit of a back-and-forth match, and it was an honor to grapple with a guy like Galvao, and it was good fun,” he said.
He also went on to add that the result might be different if the two were to have a grappling match in the future.
De Ridder will be returning to action at ONE 159 in July as he will be defending his ONE Middleweight title against Andre Galvao.
