Double champion Reinier De Ridder calls out Abbasov, Buchecha and Alain Ngalani
14 December 2021Reigning ONE Championship Middleweight and Light Heavyweight champion Reinier De Ridder is apparently having trouble finding an opponent.
De Ridder, who defeated Aung La N Sang in two back-to-back fights, had earlier expressed his interest in fighting ONE Heavyweight Champion Arjan Bhullar. However, as per De Ridder, Arjan is not interested in the fight and this made him call out some other big names through his social media pages.

The first name that De Ridder called out was Kiamrian Abbasov. A fight with Abbasov is something that De Ridder had already expressed interest in.
“The #champchamp needs a #challenge Hey @onechampionship this one is long over due. I have been waiting for #8months it’s time right now! @kiamrian_abbasov,” he wrote on his Instagram page.
After this, De Ridder went on to call out Alain Ngalani for a Muay-Thai bout claiming that it would be too easy to fight Ngalani in an MMA showdown.
“de Ridder vs @alain.ngalani in Muay Thai. In MMA this would be way to easy but maybe you can last a round in Muay Thai. What do you think? @onechampionship #champchampneedsachallenge #mma” he wrote.
Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida was the third name that the Double champion called out. He also took a shot at Arjan Bhullar along with the callout.
“Since I can’t get a middleweight or LHW fight, let’s try #heavyweight. @theonearjansinghbhullar is running so how about @marcusbuchecha ? What do you think ????????. Let’s find out who is the best jiujiteiro in @onechampionship,” he wrote.
As a joke, De Ridder went on to ask ONE Championship to book a fight against both Demetrious Johnson and Rodtang Jimungnon.
“de Ridder vs @rodtang_jimungnon and @mighty at the same time how bout that @onechampionship ? That’s a real special rules fight ????????. That was the last one I promise ???????? #mma #one #fighter,” he wrote.
