A pair of ONE World Championship fights will headline ONE 161: Moraes vs. Johnson, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime on 26 August.
The main event features the rematch between ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes and mixed martial arts icon Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson. The Brazilian is on a three-fight winning streak that includes a victory over Johnson at “ONE on TNT I” in April 2021.

On the other hand, the co-main event will be an intense battle between ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and challenger Liam Harrison. Nong-O has won his last eight fights, including his most recent victory against Felipe Lobo at ONE X this past March.
Meanwhile, Harrison earned his title opportunity after scoring a sensational first-round knockout over Muangthai PK.Saenchai at ONE 156 despite being knocked down twice. The British striker is confident that his fighting style and power will be enough to dethrone the longtime ONE World Champion.
Likewise, the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix continues with the semifinal match between Savvas Michael and current ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon. A Grand Prix Alternate contest between Malaysian-Fighter Amir Naseri and former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Jonathan Haggerty unfolds on that night too.

The main card of ONE 161 also features the heavyweight MMA showdown between 17-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida and former ONE World Title challenger Kirill Grishenko. Amir Aliakbari is also looking to jumpstart his quest for the ONE Heavyweight World Championship against former ONE World Title challenger Mauro Cerilli.
