The much-awaited return of Nick Diaz could happen in 2021. This is as per his manager Kevin Mubenga who revealed the same to Ariel Helwani. Mubenga also noted that Nick Diaz has successfully tested his weight cut as well.

‘He [Nick Diaz] weighs in the 175-165 pound range, per his manager Kevin Mubenga. He just completed a 14-week diet and training regimen. This is the first time he cuts weight in approximately four years, Mubenga said. Diaz wanted to do a test cut because he is keeping a close eye on the big welterweight fights coming up. He is “100%” planning on fighting again, per Mubenga, and is targeting an early 2021 return,” Ariel Helwani Tweeted.

Nick Diaz entering the Welterweight division would be an interesting affair considering how stacked the division currently is. The 37-year-old last fought in the UFC back in back in 2015 when he crossed paths with Anderson Silva.

Nick currently holds a professional record of 26-9 to his name and had lost his fights with Georges St.Pierre and Carlos Condit prior to his showdown with Anderson Silva. His last win came against BJ Penn back in 2011 at UFC 137.
