Thai star Muangthai PK.Saenchai makes his long-awaited return to the ONE Circle against England’s Liam Harrison at ONE: Eersel vs. Sadikovic on 22 April at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

This bantamweight Muay Thai battle brings together two competitors who are at the top of their game. “Elbow Zombie” is known for expertly utilizing his razor-sharp elbows to cause maximum damage to his opponents, while Harrison, also known as “Hitman,” has perfected his ringcraft over the last decade.

Muangthai feels confident that his skills will give him the upper hand, but he openly admits that anything can happen on fight night.

“I have my elbows. It'll be easy for me to face a fighter like me. I believe that I have [a] higher chance to give them a clean hit [than] those technical opponents. From my study, his strengths are leg kicks and punch combinations. But I notice that he's afraid of elbows. He was always surprised when he was hit by an elbow. But I'm not sure about this. We’ll see in the Circle,” he said.

The former Lumpinee Stadium World Champion will be a difficult challenge for Harrison, who hasn’t fared well against Thai athletes in the Circle. “Elbow Zombie” is 3-0 in ONE and has close to 245 fights under his belt, 200 of which have ended with his hand raised.

Muangthai has also earned Lumpinee Fighter of the Year and Lumpinee Fight of the Year awards and is considered one of the greatest pugilists to come out of Thailand in recent years. With his ability to maneuver between weight classes, the 28-year-old's experience can be intimidating for even the most confident opponents.

“If he goes toe-to-toe with me. I may have a chance to finish him with my elbow. But if he tries to move around, [it] will be quite difficult for me to knock him out. I know his punches are good, but I have a game plan for him. It depends on how well I carry out my game plan,” he said.

“I have everything, my knees and kicks, I can say I’m a well-rounded fighter. I can adjust my styles and weapons according to different opponents.”
