Thousands of Lebanese fans stormed the local airport and filled the streets of Beirut last Sunday. The reason? To welcome their hero Mohammad Fakhreddine. The Arab MMA legend earned a tremendous accolade and made history for his country last Friday, by adding the Light Heavyweight BRAVE CF world title to his Middleweight belt and becoming the first Arab fighter to hold two belts in two different weight classes simultaneously.

From the moment Fakhreddine stepped out in the Arrivals area, he was flocked by fans, who raised him and the party was on. The streets of Lebanon were filled with fans chanting the champ-champ’s name as he returned home following a gruelling training camp in Dubai preparing for the rematch with arch-rival Mohamed Said Maalem.

A legend of mixed martial arts, Mohammad Fakhreddine has been involved with BRAVE CF since the first-ever event. He was scheduled to headline BRAVE CF 1 against Brazil’s Thiago ‘’Monstro’’ Vieira, before pulling out due to injury. Eventually, he made his promotional debut in Abu Dhabi, at BRAVE CF 4, beating Vinicius Cruz by TKO.

After spending most of his career at Welterweight, Fakhreddine made the move to Middleweight and earned a title shot with then-champion Daniel ‘’Gaucho’’, beating him via fourth-round finish to capture the 185-pound strap, then moving up to challenge for the vacant Light Heavyweight title, which he won at BRAVE CF 57.
