Legendary boxers Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. made their return to the ring today. The bout, which was under exhibition rules, had its fair share of moments with both Tyson and Jones Jr. putting on a show.
Tyson opened strongly in the first round and continued the momentum in the second round as well by landing some body punches in the clinch early on.
The tides turned a bit in the third-round with Roy Jones Jr. picking up the pace with Tyson showing no signs of slowing down himself. Jones had slight success in the clinch exchanges of the fourth-round even though he faced stiff resistance. A good portion of the fifth round was also spent in the clinch with Tyson almost dropping Jones at one point.
The sixth round was all Mike Tyson with a similar story unfolding in the seventh round before the legends went on to close the fight in the eight. On the scorecard of the judges, however, the fight was ruled as a draw much to the surprise of the fans.
Jake Paul delivered a vicious knockout in the co-main event against Nate Robinson to remain unbeaten. The knockout came in the second round right after Jake Paul landed a knockdown.
Badou Jack got a unanimous decision victory over Blake McKernan when Jamaine Ortiz got a Seventh-Round TKO win over Sulaiman Segawa. Also on the winning column was Edward Vazquez who got a split decision victory over Irvin Gonzalez.
