Conor McGregor might be out of competition for a long time but the former UFC Champion is always making headlines. The latest headline featuring the Irishman came thanks to none other than boxing legend Mike Tyson.
During his recent interview with Shannon Sharpe, Tyson went on to compare McGregor to the legendary Muhammad Ali. Tyson said that McGregor is going to make money wherever he goes when asked about whether McGregor should leave MMA for boxing.
“Whatever he’s gonna do, he’s going to make that shit ton of money. People they said ‘no way, ain’t nowhere near Ali,’ I said ‘this guy, this guy’s a circus show too. He’s a traveling circus,” Mike Tyson said (h/t Essentially Sports)

McGregor is currently sitting on two back-to-back losses against Dustin Poirier and had his last win against Donald Cerrone back in 2020. He had tested waters in Professional boxing as well when he went up against Floyd Mayweather a few years back.
The showdown between McGregor and Mayweather proved to be a big-money event as well. In fact, McGregor is up there in the record books when it comes to top pay-per-view buys in the UFC as well.
